I was working on my self confidence, doing more personal study (especially regarding marriage and dating) in the Bible along with Bible aids and secular information. I was setting achievable spiritual goals, life goals, traveling, widening out, working on my style, fitness, beauty, and my confidence. My confidence soared! I was meeting new people, trying new things, and really coming into my own. Others weren’t aware of the work I was putting in behind the scenes, but they were definitely noticing the results.
I was working in harmony with my prayers, expanding my network, and getting more invitations. I was seeing the results of hard work and really taking care of me….and having a blast! As others took notice…I realized very quickly that not everyone was ready for my progression (now widely known as “leveling up”).
At times, I came across passive aggressive comments, rude comments, negative unsolicited advice, false rumors about who I dated, projected pity, and projected limiting beliefs about who I’d end up with if I ended up with anyone at all….bizarre. All I could do was block it all out, continue my spiritual routine, remain laser focused on my goals, and learn to accept this all came with the journey. It would not stop my growth.
Would you let a bunch of “noise” stop you from reaching your goals?
